On June 9, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, ISCAP will host the Research Seminar entitled Researcher Reasoning and Reflexivity in Qualitative Inquiry on (and with) AI: Navigating the Human-Algorithm Duality When the Object Is Also the Method, as part of The ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series.

The session will feature Delia Deliu, Senior Lecturer and PhD Supervisor at the Department of Accounting and Audit of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timişoara.

This hybrid event will take place onsite at the CEOS.PP Noble Room and online via Microsoft Teams.

The event is organized by ISCAP lecturers Cláudia Teixeira, Ana Maria Bandeira, Luís Gomes and José Vale.

The seminar will explore the challenges and opportunities arising from the increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence into qualitative research, focusing on researcher reflexivity, methodological reasoning, and the evolving relationship between human interpretation and algorithmic systems.

Bionote
Delia Deliu is Senior Lecturer and PhD Supervisor at the Department of Accounting and Audit, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timişoara. She is a Chartered Certified Auditor and Chartered Certified Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in Accounting, Assurance and Business Advisory Services.
Delia serves as Associate Editor of the European Journal of Innovation Management and is a member of the Editorial Board of several prestigious journals, including Humanities and Social Sciences Communications. She is also a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board & Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Working Party (IAASB-PCAOB WP) – Accountancy Europe, and Co-Owner & Managing Partner of Analitic Expert SRL.
Her research focuses on the adaptation of professions and organizations to digital disruption and complex socio-economic change, particularly regarding the interplay between technology, governance, ethics, and professional judgment, as well as the ethical dilemmas associated with digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence.
Throughout her academic career, Delia has received several distinctions and awards, including national awards for research activity from the Ministry of Education, the Research Excellence Award from the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (2021), the Nicolae Stoica Award for Economic Sciences (2020), and the “Bologna Professor of the Year” distinction awarded by the National Alliance of Student Organizations in Romania (2018).
