O que significa preservar e tornar sustentável o património cultural num mundo marcado pelas alterações climáticas, pela transformação tecnológica, pelos conflitos, pela mobilidade e por profundas mudanças socioeconómicas?
O novo Special Issue 2026 da E-REI – E-Journal of Intercultural Studies (Scopus) reúne um conjunto internacional e interdisciplinar de contributos que abordam o património cultural como um campo vivo de inovação, sustentabilidade, participação, resiliência e diálogo intercultural.
Ao longo de três continentes, o número contempla diferentes realidades culturais, sociais e geográficas, com perspetivas provenientes de e sobre Portugal, Marrocos, Cabo Verde, Macau/China, Japão, Alemanha, Ucrânia e Palestina. Esta diversidade geográfica é central no volume, que dá visibilidade a iniciativas localmente enraizadas, perspetivas sub-representadas e narrativas não hegemónicas.
Articulando património cultural, sustentabilidade, empreendedorismo, transformação digital e estudos interculturais, este Special Issue abre novos espaços de diálogo entre investigação académica e prática, e entre diferentes regiões, disciplinas e contextos culturais.
Aqui, o empreendedorismo não é entendido simplesmente como uma abordagem orientada para os negócios, mas como uma capacidade de criatividade, reconhecimento de oportunidades, adaptação, resiliência e ação perante a incerteza.

NEW SPECIAL ISSUE 2026 | E-REI – E-Journal of Intercultural Studies: “Cultural Heritage, Sustainability and Entrepreneurial Mindset”
What does it mean to sustain cultural heritage in a world shaped by climate change, technological transformation, conflict, mobility and profound socio-economic change?
The new Special Issue 2026 of E-REI – E-Journal of Intercultural Studies (Scopus) brings together an international and interdisciplinary collection of contributions exploring cultural heritage as a living field of innovation, sustainability, participation, resilience and intercultural dialogue.
Across three continents, the issue addresses diverse cultural, social and geographical realities, with perspectives from and about Portugal, Morocco, Cabo Verde, Macau/China, Japan, Germany, Ukraine and Palestine. This geographical diversity is central to the volume, which foregrounds locally grounded initiatives, underrepresented perspectives and non-hegemonic narratives.
Connecting cultural heritage, sustainability, entrepreneurship, digital transformation and intercultural studies, the Special Issue opens new spaces for dialogue between academic research and practice, and between different regions, disciplines and cultural contexts.
Here, the entrepreneurial mindset is understood not simply as a business-oriented approach, but as a capacity for creativity, opportunity recognition, adaptation, resilience and action in the face of uncertainty.
