Online Entrepreneurial Mindset Behaviour Analysis: Empowering Students and Educators through Data-Driven Curriculum Design
Marco Lamas, ISCAP-P.PORTO, e ISLA – Instituto Politécnico de Gestão e Tecnologia

The Mindset Behaviour Analysis (MBA) tool, developed through the SHINE project (Scaling Higher Education Innovation for Europe), offers a dual-impact solution for both students and educators in entrepreneurship education. For students across any discipline, the free online tool delivers a 10-minute personalized assessment of seven entrepreneurial behaviors using the MINDSET mnemonic. Immediate, actionable feedback empowers learners to set goals and refine their entrepreneurial mindset through active, reflective practice.

Equally relevant for educators, the MBA tool provides visual analytics and aggregated cohort data that allows innovative curriculum design and teaching methodologies. Educators can identify prevalent behavioral strengths and gaps, allowing them to tailor class activities, project briefs, and assessment formats to reinforce targeted entrepreneurial skills. This data-driven insight fosters adaptive pedagogy, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.

Validated through pilots with over 230 students from eight countries, the MBA tool achieves a 90% “very good” or “good” rating for introducing entrepreneurial mindset concepts and an 82.5% rating for generating practical improvement actions. Its effectiveness and innovation have been showcased at international conferences.
