The ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series

No próximo dia 2 de maio de 2024, pelas 09h30, realiza-se o seguinte seminário no âmbito do ciclo The ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series: "Making sense of accounting in society", com o orador convidado Hendrik Vollmer (Warwick Business School).

O webinar está integrado nas atividades de unidades curriculares da Licenciatura em Contabilidade e Administração; Licenciatura em Assessoria e Tradução; Licenciatura em Comunicação Empresarial; Mestrado em Contabilidade e Finanças; Mestrado em Finanças Empresariais; e Mestrado em Gestão e Regime Jurídico-Empresarial da Economia Social.

O evento destina-se a estudantes, docentes e investigadores da área da Contabilidade; e insere-se -se nas actividades desenvolvidas pelo CEOS.PP.

Guest Speaker:

Hendrik Vollmer is a Reader of Accounting at Warwick Business School. He has previously worked at the University of Leicester and Bielefeld University, teaching in accounting as well as in sociology. His research is in social studies of accounting, environmental accounting, ecological reconstitution and social change.

Hendrik is an Associate Editor of European Accounting Review and the editor of Handbook of Accounting in Society, to be published later this May. Hendrik is also guest editing a Special Issue of the Social and Environmental Accountability Journal (SEAJ) on ‘Bringing planetary boundaries back to Earth: Rethinking accounting for ecological limits’. He serves on the editorial boards of Zeitschrift für Soziologie and of the Journal Accounting, Organizations and Society (AOS). He is a member of the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
