O orador convidado é o Professor Alan Sangster (Business School of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland).  

Este seminário está integrado nas actividades de unidades curriculares da Licenciatura em Contabilidade e Administração, Licenciatura em Assessoria e Tradução, Mestrado em Contabilidade e Finanças e Mestrado em Finanças Empresariais. Este evento destina-se a estudantes, docentes e investigadores da área da Contabilidade; e insere-se no âmbito da Linha de Investigação "Accountability and Reporting" desenvolvida pelo CEOS.PP.

Guest Speaker: Professor Alan Sangster 

Professor Alan Sangster is Editor-in-Chief of Accounting Education (Routledge), Chair of BAFA Accounting History SIG and Trustee of The Academy of Accounting Historians.    

In addition to being Chair in Accounting History at the Business School of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, Alan has previously worked at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland; the Queen's University, Belfast; the University of Sussex, England; Griffith University, Australia; among other. Alan is also an international visiting professor at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil; the University of Minho, Portugal; the University of Perugia, Italy; and the Kuban State University, Russia.   

Alan has published his research in journals such as Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, British Accounting Review, Accounting Review, Accounting Education, Accounting History, Abacus, Qualitative Research in Accounting and Management, Journal of Applied Accounting Research, among other. He has also written and contributed several textbooks, including Emerging areas within the accounting curriculum (The Routledge Companion to Accounting Education).   

In 2013, he was presented with the Lifetime Achievement award of the British Accounting and Finance Association and, in 2015, he was honoured to receive the Hourglass Award from the Academy of Accounting Historians.
