Aims and Objectives
The EMSIV Project, Empowerment of Ethnic Minority Students in Vietnam, coordinated by the Italian Interuniversity Consortium AlmaLaurea, in line with the EU overarching priorities Inclusion and Diversity and Growth & Jobs, is intended to empower Vietnamese ethnic minority students by providing them with effective tools for enhancing their employability potential and social inclusion. The project aims in fact at analysing the self-perception of Vietnamese minority graduates when they enter the labour market as well as the attitude of firms towards minority graduates and at apprehending the employment situation and characteristics of ethnic minority graduates. The results of the aforementioned activities guide capacity transfer in favour of beneficiary universities’ staff so to foster the employability and social inclusion of students belonging to ethnic minority. EMSIV is also aimed at enhancing communication among local stakeholders to promote their commitment for a successful inclusion of ethnic minority students into the labour market, through the delivering of awareness conferences and the set-up of a permanent forum on ethnic minority.
