O 1º Congresso da RNEC – Rede Nacional em Estudos Culturais, organizado pela RNEC e pelo Centro de Línguas, Literaturas e Culturas da Universidade de Aveiro, irá decorrer nos dias 26 e 27 de maio de 2022, na Sala de Atos da Universidade de Aveiro.
O Centro de Estudos Interculturais é membro fundador da RNEC – Rede Nacional em Estudos Culturais e participará ativamente neste congresso, que vai reunir, pela primeira vez, os académicos, investigadores, centros de investigação e instituições académicas portuguesas que se têm dedicado nas últimas duas décadas aos Estudos Culturais e da Cultura.
O 1º Congresso da Rede Nacional em Estudos Culturais – Cartografias, Desafios e Possibilidades tem como objetivo promover o reconhecimento da área pela comunidade académica e potenciar redes de ensino e de investigação mais articuladas e densas. O mapeamento desta área em Portugal potenciará o seu desenvolvimento interdisciplinar e interinstitucional, para além de afirmar a vitalidade dos Estudos Culturais e da Cultura no país e reforçar a própria Rede Nacional em Estudos Culturais.

The 1st Congress of RNEC – National Network in Cultural Studies, organized by RNEC and by the Centre for Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the University of Aveiro, will take place on the 26th and 27th of May 2022, at the Sala de Atos of the University of Aveiro.
The Centre for Intercultural Studies is a founding member of RNEC - National Network in Cultural Studies and will be actively participating in this conference, which will bring together, for the first time, the Portuguese scholars, researchers, research centres and academic institutions which have been devoted to Cultural Studies and Studies of Culture in the last two decades.
The 1st Congress of the National Network in Cultural Studies – Cartographies, Challenges and Possibilities aims to promote the recognition of the area by the academic community and to enhance more articulated and comprehensive teaching and research networks. The mapping of this area in Portugal will foster its interdisciplinary and inter-institutional development, in addition to asserting the vitality of Cultural Studies and Studies of Culture in the country and strengthening the scope of the National Network in Cultural Studies.
