Caixa de texto:                 ECREA’s Women’s Network invites all members of European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) to build a community that promotes gender equality among scholars across borders and cultures. The Network intends to be a (virtual) community that facilitates especially female researchers’ international cooperation and career progress. Women's Network will also function as a channel for informing the members about ECREA’s activities.   ECREA Women’s Network acts to promote gender equality among academics in the fields of communication and media studies. This goal in mind, we gather and distribute information about the current situation of women in higher education and academic research in Europe. We are interested in identifying differences, strengths, weaknesses and areas of good practice in order to stimulate the exchange of ideas and the development of expertise and insights across national borders that will promote gender equality in academia. Our activities include workshops and biennial business meetings. We will also develop our virtual activities in order to promote contacts and cooperation between network members and distribute information.
